All across Central New York, high school students attended the annual five-day Science and Technology Camp to inspire future engineering students.
30 selected students attended the event held at Salina, Lockheed Martin where students were able to have hands on experience to explore possible careers in engineering.
The event was sponsored by the Longhouse Council and allows engineering universities and colleges to highlight their programs. Although it was very similar to the typical career's fair, the science and technology camp however gave a unique opportunity for students to experience the world of engineering.
Out of the 30 students selected each year, the engineering community hopes that at least half of them end up in working in the future.
